What do you do?

I take what you do and review it, put it into context (especially at the moment, especially online), make connections with changing audiences, reconnect you to your purpose and help to create original content that reflects your good character (and performs better).

Let's work on a marketing decision together.

I can develop your USP, research your future clients, create a marketing strategy and make content for specific purposes.

Are you qualified to do it?

An experienced, qualified journalist and marketing strategist and content writer/creator for all sorts of businesses - across education, wellbeing and health, neurodiversity services, finance, art, tourism, local news, content/marketing agencies, personal development, recreation and geeky fun.

I'll pick up your unique business quickly. I'll envision a plan to help move business forward.

A well-versed, articulate, thoughtful listener on all sort of topics - politics, therapy, poetry, art, social issues, psychology and how to thrive.

I'll pinpoint the real themes of what you say and do. I'll make epic connections between ideas.

A calming presence, telling you to stuff the noise and contradictions of everyone else, telling you to remember who you are.I'll genuinely care about you as a human and what you truly want.

I'll understand why you're hesitant to talk to "yet another marketer", but I'm not like that.

Who are you?

Good question!

Work wise?

Content marketing, writing and creative strategist (and former NCTJ journalist) across industries including video and audio production, women's empowerment, human nature and wellbeing research, small business operations, business book promotion, children's stories, education and personal development, autism and neurodiversity support, tourism and travel health, gaming, finance, art, local news.

(I know, a wide variety! My marketing methods are adaptable, based on universal principles about buying behaviour and people being people.)

Away from work?

I have a bookcase full of philosophy, psychology and literature.

And I love my rabbits. (They're not allowed near the bookcase).

Why did you make Pawsitive News? Why does it exist?

The reasons I made it

The news focuses on death, doom and disaster... and I see people around me feel down, depressed and despairing as a result.

I was there myself. In January 2025 I "burnt down" my business. Stuff that worked before, wasn't working anymore. And when I looked to the news for direction, it didn't offer much hope. Rather than help people make informed decisions [ref], the news overwhelmingly takes over with shock and outrage and negativity.

Call me wide-eyed and idealistic, but I wanted to be a journalist since I was young and the more I studied literature, philosophy, journalism and marketing (on my own as well as for my BA, NCTJ & certifications) the more I thought about what the news is for.

I always thought the point of journalism is to see what's happening in the area/specialism/world, and find threads and interpretations based on collective evidence, and help the audience find a meaning.

Just the layout of news compounds to provide a picture. Deciding what makes the news in the first place is the most subjective decision of all [QUOTE WOODWARD?]

Find the RSPCA + you're too nice to be a journalist.

I thought to myself - okay it might not be making headlines, but there must be good things happening. Simply based on the evidence of human nature - we've always found a way through.

Dedicated for business

Pawsitive recommendations

This is what businesses get in return for advertising/sponsorship in Pawsitive News.

£80+ for one exclusive native ad

  • You give me the business info, and I will write about your business (Pawsitive recommendation) for the best reader experience and for your conversion.

  • I share the advert in the Facebook Group Pawsitive Newsroom

This is what advertisers have got [average/top stats: opens, clicks, awareness]

Average/top statistics

  • Click rates & reports

  • Open rates

  • Awareness & comments

    • "I learned about PDA from that ad."

What should I advertise? What works?

Ah, the golden question 😉 You are investing to be in front of 68+ keen readers looking for hope and goodness in the world, and I would advise the sell to be 2 x the price of the ad.

How many ads do I compete with in one email?

None! You will be the one exclusive ad in the whole email.

What do you need from me? What is the price?

Firstly, I need you to be a good business. One that gives hope to humans.

Then, I need roughly 300 words and a working link.

Price... depends! The price goes up periodically based on subscriber count. So if you want to save money, I advise buying your places sooner rather than later. And yes, you can order more than one.

Click the big orange button to see the current price!

I don't have everything ready, can I reserve an ad without the details?

Absolutely! Once purchased, we confirm the date (or make it flexible), and I will ask you for the details I need nearer the time. I need all final copy and link ready 3-4 weeks before the issue publish date.

Can we do a longer-term campaign, service or partnership?

Yes! I would love to help. I can also offer insights, copywriting and marketing strategy to ensure your business gets a lot out of your ads. Email me with your ideal scenario (doesn't hurt to ask!) and we'll work something out together.

Feedback can be taken on board but... I purposefully write it to fit seamlessly in the particular issue and theme, for the best reader experience. This can change at the last minute. Final edits are final.

Do I get to see how many people clicked on my ad?

Yes! All ads receive a brief click report 2-4 weeks after the final run via email.

VIP - You're a specialist in content, journalism and writing - you're just what we need, especially right now. Can you help our business with content and ads as a whole?
